Getting Downtown
For attendees flying into Pearson Airport, the UP Pearson Express is a quick way to get downtown. In 25 minutes, the train will take you from Pearson to Union Station. The UP Pearson Express station is located in Terminal 1, directly adjacent to the Link Train service that connects Terminal 1 and 3. The adult fare is $12.35 one way.
From Union Station, you can either take the subway (TTC), walk (about 20 minutes to TMU and less to many hotels), or take a taxi to your hotel or TMU. If you take the subway, then board Line 1 (Yonge-University) north to Finch and exit at Dundas. Many hotels are between Union Station and TMU and are closer to the King or Queen exits.
If you choose to walk, then here is route suggested by Google maps. If it is raining, then you can take the underground PATH as far north as TMU (Yonge and Dundas) and to many other places in the downtown core. Here is a map of the PATH.
Transit
TTC trains and streetcars are the primary means of getting around the city. You can pay your fare by tapping your Credit Card or Debit Card. The adult fare is $3.30 and automatically includes a 2-hour transfer period as long as you tap with the same card.
Train stations are indicated by the TTC symbol. The closest train stations to TMU are College Station and Dundas Station. You can find train, bus, and streetcar routes on the TTC Downtown Map. There are additional maps for Bus Routes and Streetcar Routes.Â
