Harry Johnson Prize

The Canadian Economics Association awards the Harry G. Johnson Prize of $2000 each year to the author or authors of the paper judged to be the best paper published in the Canadian Journal of Economics in the preceding calendar year.

 

Winner 2018

The winners of the 2018 Johnson Prize are Joel Rodrigue and Kunio Tsuyuhara for their paper "On-the-Job-Search, Wage Dispersion and Trade Liberalization" published in the May 2018 (Volume 51, Issue 2).

Robert Mundell Prize

The Canadian Economics Association awards the Robert Mundell Prize of $2000 to the "young" author or authors of the paper judged to be the best paper published in the Canadian Journal of Economics in the previous two calendar years.

Winner 2018

The winner of the 2018 Mundell Prize is Walter Steingress for his paper "The causal impact of migration on U.S. trade: Evidence from political refugees, published in November 2018 (Volume 51, Number 4).
