Robert Mundell Prize

The Canadian Economics Association awards the Robert Mundell Prize of $2000 to the "young" author or authors of the paper judged to be the best paper published in the Canadian Journal of Economics in the previous two calendar years.

Winner 2020

The winner of the 2020  Mundell Prize is Joseph B. Steinberg for his paper "The macroeconomic impact of NAFTA termination, published in May 2019 (Volume 53, Number 2). 


Harry Johnson Prize

The Canadian Economics Association awards the Harry G. Johnson Prize of $2000 each year to the author or authors of the paper judged to be the best paper published in the Canadian Journal of Economics in the preceding calendar year.

Winner 2020

The winners of the 2020 Johnson Prize are Gaetano Basso, Giovanni Peri and Ahmed S. Rahman for their paper "Computerization and immigration: Theory and evidence from the United States" published in November 2020 (Volume 53, Issue 4).
