Robert Mundell Prize

The Canadian Economics Association awards the Robert Mundell Prize of $2000 to the "young" author or authors of the paper judged to be the best paper published in the Canadian Journal of Economics in the previous two calendar years.

Winner 2019

The winner of the 2019 Mundell Prize is Brock Smith for his paper "Dutch Disease and the Oil Boom and Bust, published in May 2019 (Volume 52, Number 2). 


Harry Johnson Prize

The Canadian Economics Association awards the Harry G. Johnson Prize of $2000 each year to the author or authors of the paper judged to be the best paper published in the Canadian Journal of Economics in the preceding calendar year.

Winner 2019

The winners of the 2019 Johnson Prize are Lauren E. JonesKevin Milligan and Mark Stabile for their paper "Child cash benefits and family expenditures: Evidence from the National Child Benefit" published in the November 2019 (Volume 52, Issue 4).
