IMPORTANT: for the CEA Student Travel Grant, an applicant cannot combine travel assistance for other sources. If you receive travel assistant from another source/grant you must disclose this to the CEA office in the case that you are awarded a CEA grant. 

CEA Student Travel Grants

Please submit your registration form and travel grant application before the deadline of March 15th, 2025.

Applications for Student Travel Grants will be available starting February 1st. In addition to registering, an Application Form must be filled out and sent to office@economics.ca or cea.execdir@gmail.com. Application does not guarantee funds. 12 applications will be accepted. There is a maximum available per student of 1250.00 CDN. Receipts for reasonable accommodation, travel and food will be covered. e.g. first class tickets, premium accommodations, alcohol and expensive meals will not be considered as reasonable expenses. • Travel grants are only available to qualifying graduate students and doctoral candidates who are paid-up members of the Canadian Economics Association. 

• You must be a student at a Canadian university, or a Canadian citizen studying at a foreign university.

• You must have submitted a paper to the conference or are presenting in a special session to apply for a travel grant

Productivity Partnership will again this year offer financial assistance for travel expenses for students. Funds are up to 1000.00 CDN per student. Apply at the link or QR code below.
