Childcare Options During the 2025 ConferenceSee two options below for Childcare during the 2025 CEA Conference in Montreal. Option 1 is on-site and Option 2 is for parents who want childcare at their hotel. Important Note: Daycare options are services provided by external companies. The Canadian Economics Association has no affiliation with the service companies and assumes no liability for the daycare services. Option 1: On-Site at UQAM. Space is limited so book early! It is recommended to book before May 16th.
Halte-Garderie, UQAM’s drop-in childcare for student parents, offers its services to children between the ages of 6 months old and 11 years old. Conference participants wishing to use their services must make their own arrangements. Parents will be asked to complete the online form to register their child(ren). Parents must then email the facility regarding which day(s) they need and which block(s) at haltegarderie@cspeuqam.ca. Three types of blocks available and a child is entitled to two blocks per day: - AM block: 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. - PM block: 1pm to 6pm - Evening block: 6 p.m. to 9:15 p.m. Note that the service is also offered on Saturday, but only between 9am and 5pm. A block costs $25, the day (2 blocks) costs $35 and for international students, the block is $15 and the day $25. The childcare offers snacks during the day, but parents must bring a lunch (hot or cold) if the child is staying for lunch, and diapers and bottles if necessary. Form to fill out French version
