Merci de votre patience. Nous travaillons sur cette page du site. Role of Discussant The role of the discussant is to offer a thoughtful critique of the paper, providing constructive feedback that helps both the audience understand the paper and the author reconsider key points for potential improvement. Criticism should be delivered courteously and tactfully, aiming to foster a productive discussion rather than simply glorifying or vilifying the paper. Discussions should not be a mere summary of the paper or a rehash of the presenter’s points but should offer an alternative perspective. Discussants should also avoid turning their allotted time into a presentation of their own research; the focus should remain squarely on the paper being discussed. Several tech-savvy student volunteers will be available to assist with any technical issues, but presenters and discussants are encouraged to test their presentations ahead of time to ensure everything runs smoothly. |
