IMPORTANT: for the CEA Student Travel Grant, an applicant cannot combine travel assistance for other sources. If you receive travel assistant from another source/grant you must disclose this to the CEA office in the case that you are awarded a CEA grant. CEA Student Travel Grants Please submit your registration form and travel grant application before the deadline of March 15th, 2026. Applications for Student Travel Grants will be available starting February 1st. In addition to registering, an Application Form must be filled out and sent to office@economics.ca or cea.execdir@gmail.com. Application does not guarantee funds. 12 applications will be accepted. There is a maximum available per student of 1250.00 CDN. Receipts for reasonable accommodation, travel and food will be covered. e.g. first class tickets, premium accommodations, alcohol and expensive meals will not be considered as reasonable expenses. Productivity Partnership Travel GrantProductivity Partnership will again this year offer financial assistance for travel expenses for students. Funds are up to 1250.00 CDN per student. In order to support participation in Productivity Partnership events at the Canadian Economics Association meetings in Vancouver (May 28 - May 30, 2026), the Partnership will provide financial assistance for travel expenses. Funds are up to $1250/student. However, this amount may vary depending on distance travelled or other circumstances. We expect to fund 8 to 10 students. The Productivity Partnership grant cannot be combined with other grants such as those offered by the CEA. Your personal information will only be known to the selection committee. The funding will be targeted to applicants with accepted papers on productivity-related topics, particularly those involving firm or workplace microdata. Any additional funds may be awarded to students without an accepted conference paper that demonstrate a research background in productivity-related topics, especially research involving firm or workplace microdata.
