Call for Applications: Managing Editor of the Canadian Journal of Economics

 

The Search Committee of the Board of Directors of the Canadian Economics Association (CEA) welcomes applications for the position of Managing Editor of the Canadian Journal of Economics (CJE) with an anticipated starting date of July 1, 2022. 

About the Journal:

The Canadian Journal of Economics is the journal of the Canadian Economics Association and is the primary academic economics journal in Canada. Since 1968 the journal has been publishing high-quality theoretical and empirical economic research in all areas of economics. The CJE receives around 300 submissions per year and publishes around 50 of these papers. The journal seeks to maintain and enhance its position as an international general interest journal.

About the Position:

The CJE Managing Editor oversees the overall production of the journal and the peer review management process. The peer review process is supported by five Co-Editors, a Data Editor and a team of Editorial Advisors. Wiley publishes the journal on behalf of the Association and provides a production manager and an editorial assistant. ScholarOne is the Peer Review Management system used by the CJE. The CJE Managing Editor is an Officer of the Canadian Economics Association and reports to the Board of Directors at quarterly board meetings. The CEA offers a quarterly stipend to the Managing Editor that can be taken as a direct payment, or contributed to a research fund or course buy-out at your university. Le comité de recherche du conseil d'administration de l'Association canadienne d'économique (ACE) accueille les candidatures pour le poste de rédactrice ou rédacteur en chef de la Revue canadienne d'économique (RCE) dont la date de début prévue est le 1er juillet 2022.

À propos du journal :

La Revue canadienne d'économique est la revue de l'Association canadienne d'économique et est la principale revue universitaire d'économie au Canada. Depuis 1968, la revue publie des recherches économiques théoriques et empiriques de haute qualité dans tous les domaines de l'économie. La RCE reçoit environ 300 soumissions par année et publie une cinquantaine de ces articles. La revue cherche à maintenir et à renforcer sa position de revue internationale d'intérêt général.

À propos de la position :

Le rédacteur ou la rédactrice en chef de la RCE supervise la production globale de la revue et le processus de gestion de l'examen par les pairs. Le processus d'examen par les pairs est soutenu par cinq co-rédacteurs, une éditrice de données et une équipe de conseillers éditoriaux. Wiley publie la revue au nom de l'Association et fournit un directeur de production et un assistant éditorial. ScholarOne est le système de gestion de l'évaluation par les pairs utilisé par la RCE. Le rédacteur ou la rédactrice en chef de la RCE est un dirigeant de l'Association canadienne d'économique et fait rapport au conseil d'administration lors des réunions trimestrielles du conseil. L’ACE offre une allocation trimestrielle au rédacteur ou à la rédactrice qui peut être prise comme paiement direct, ou contribué à un fonds de recherche ou à un rachat de cours dans votre université.
